Who Is Remote Field Monitoring For?

Remote Field Monitoring is built for restoration teams that want greater visibility and control while jobs are still in progress.

It’s designed for:

Teams managing multiple drying projects simultaneously

Managers who want real-time remote insights into drying performance

Operators seeking defensible reporting with consultants and reviewers

For companies that care about accurate data

Teams managing multiple drying projects simultaneously

Managers who want real-time insight into drying performance

Operators seeking stronger documentation and defensible reporting

Companies reducing site visits without sacrificing oversight

If daily visits are the only way you understand job progress,
Monitoring replaces uncertainty with live data.

What Is Remote Field Monitoring?

Remote Field Monitoring is Kahi's sensor-based system for capturing and preserving drying conditions in real time.

Environmental sensors are installed on site to continuously collect drying data throughout the life of a job. Teams can monitor conditions remotely, review historical trends, and generate complete insurance-ready documentation.

Instead of waiting for the next visit to understand job progress, you can see performance as it happens.

GPP 95

Real-time visibility into the environmental metrics that drive drying performance.

These measurements provide a continuous record of drying conditions, helping teams validate performance and support claim outcomes with confidence.

  • Temperature (°C, °F)

  • Relative Humidity (RH)

  • Equipement Grain Depression (GD)

  • Grains Per Pound (GPP)

  • Material Moisture - Coming Soon (Included)

Sensors Built for Restoration Environments

Kahi sensors are built for demanding water restoration conditions like moisture, dust, transport and job site realities. Our environmental sensors deliver dependable accuracy, validated through R&D and independent testing. When data matters, accuracy matters.

Sensor Highlights

Tamper-proof data collection

IP67 rated: dust-tight and water-resistant

ISO 17025 certified 3-point calibration

Independent Accuracy Testing

Sensors are independently tested against laboratory-grade chilled mirror reference instruments - the gold standard for humidity measurement.

Accuracy within ±2% RH of chilled mirror instruments

Reliable decisions start with reliable data.

Technical Specifications

Temperature

Long-term drift

  • 0.01°C temperature / year
  • 0.5% RH / year

How it Works

Step 1

Install Sensors
on Site

Place sensors in affected areas, drying chambers, or directly on equipment.

Add as many as the job requires. Coverage scales with project size.

Step 2

Continuous Data Collection

(Gateway Optional)

Sensors capture environmental conditions around the clock.

With a Site Gateway, data streams to the cloud in near real time. Without one, sensors securely store data and sync later.

Collection continues even if connectivity drops, so no data is lost. Our sensors provide continuous data logging.

The job does not pause between visits. Neither does your documentation.

Step 3

Retrieve Data & Generate Reports

Data syncs automatically when connectivity is available or can be retrieved through the iOS app during a site visit.

All readings are compiled into professional, insurance ready drying reports generated automatically.

Coming Soon: Material Moisture Monitoring will integrate seamlessly as it becomes available.

Enhanced User Experience

Monitoring works continuously, even when you’re not on site.

Fewer site visits - without sacrificing oversight

No data loss - continuous data logging built right in even without connectivity

Defensible documentation - reliable drying records for claims and audits

Flexible deployment - live monitoring or data logging based on job needs

Scales with your operation - from single crews to multi-location teams

What’s Included in the Monitoring Kit

Frequently Asked Questions

What data does Remote Field Monitoring track?

Temperature, RH, and GPP.
Material Moisture Monitoring is coming soon and will be included.

Do I need a gateway?

No. Gateways are optional. Sensors are data loggers and connect to your phone.

What happens if there is no gateway or connectivity?

Sensors continue collecting data locally and sync later to your phone.

How do I make sure sensors are working before I leave site?

Use the Kahi Field App to verify sensor connectivity or run a remote test.

What if the job site is larger than 3,500 sq ft?

Add additional gateways to extend coverage or use mobile app while on site to manually collect the data.

Can Remote Field Monitoring be used on its own?

Yes, with Kahi Inventory Tags.

Do I need Tracking Pro to use beacons?

Yes. Beacon-based tracking requires Tracking Pro.

Are reports insurance-ready?

Yes. Automatically generated PDF drying reports.
